![]() Modified a CR2 file with a hex editor and changed the EXIF text for camera model from 'Canon EOS 77D' to 'Canon EOS 70D' and voila. I do not have a solution to this issue but I found out the following. Files can also not be viewed with windows photo. I wouldn't be surprised if the 6D II also embedded a full sized JPG in the RAW files. The raw cr2 files from the camera do not show as thumbnails in windows 10 file explorer. My Canon 7D for instance embeds a full sized JPG in the RAW file. Yes, it is the embedded JPG that Windows and some other programs like FastStone show.ĭifferent cameras embed different sized JPGs in their RAW files. But whatever, it's sure nice to be able to browse the raw files in a simple way. What you see in Windows is not the raw file per se, it's a small size jpg that's embedded in the raw file. I can view all my raw files from both cameras as normal with Lightroom 6 and DPP software, no issues there. ![]() I've just moved over to the 6D Mark ii from the 6D 'Classic' and just noticed i can't view my raw files from the 6D Mark ii.īut I can still view my raw files from the 6D 'Classic' using the Photos app within Windows 10.Īs I can view my 6D 'Classic' raw files without any kind of third party software I can only assume the problem I have is down to the 6D Mark ii having something different within their raw files.Īny help would be most helpful, even if just confirming you guys are having the same issue, then I know its not my PC. ![]() ![]() Can you guys view 6D Mark ii raw files straight out of Windows 10 without using any kind of third party software ? ![]()
